Minimise your transaction fees
Join the 82% of members who avoid excess transaction fees
Since 1 July, an amazing 82% of members each month have avoided excess transaction fees. This fee is billed at the end of the month if you exceed your free monthly transaction fee allowance.
This is great news and we’d like to see this figure increase. Here are our top tips for avoiding excess transaction fees:
1. Make fewer but larger withdrawals to maximise your allowance.
2. Do a cash-out withdrawal at the same time as an EFTPOS transaction. It’s treated as one transaction and cheaper than using an ATM.
3. Press Credit when using a Visa Debit card to make a purchase through EFTPOS. It’s a fee-free transaction.
4. Pay your bills using Internet Banking or Phone Banking. It’s a free transaction and very convenient. With BPAY you can future date your payments.
5. Set up direct debit authorities to pay regular bills. No more worrying about missing payments.
6. Use the ATMs within our network as the fee is offset by your monthly allowance. Our network includes rediATM, NAB, Bank of Queensland and Cashcard branded ATMs. Other ATMs will levy their own Direct Charge fee which is not covered by your monthly allowance.
7. Increase your business with us. The more money you have in savings, term deposits and loan balances with – up to $40 per month.
Remember - if you plan correctly you may avoid fees or at least reduce them significantly.
