Do I have to be a member to open account?

My Credit Union is a mutual financial services organisation and as such is owned by its members, each one of whom is a shareholder. To open an account, you need to become a member.

How much do I need to deposit to open a savings account?

There is no minimum deposit required to open a savings account with us.

How much do I need to deposit to open a term deposit account?

To open a fixed term deposit account you only need a minimum deposit of $1,000.

How do I make deposits to my savings accounts?

You can arrange to make deposits to your account by:

  • direct credit of payroll or other income
  • transfer from another savings or transaction account
  • Internet or Phone Banking transfer
  • over the counter at any branch of the Credit Union
  • with your rediCARD or Visa Debit Card via Bank@Post or at any participating Australia Post branch.

How do I make deposits to my fixed term account?

You can arrange to make deposits to your account by:

  • transfer from another savings or transaction account
  • over the counter at any branch of our branches

How do I make withdrawals from my savings account?

Accessing your money will depend on the particular features of your account however we offer an extensive range of access facilities:

  • Internet banking
  • Phone banking
  • BPAY
  • Electronic funds transfer
  • rediCARD
  • Visa Debit & Credit Cards
  • Cheque book
  • Branch withdrawal

How do I make withdrawals from my fixed term deposit account?

Withdrawals cannot be made until the term has matured. Just prior to maturity you will receive a letter advising that your term deposit will soon be due to mature, if you do not wish to change anything, your term deposit will automatically roll over for re-investment. If you wish to make any changes, you can do so up to 10 working days after maturity, changes can be made in branch, mail or fax.

How often will I receive information on my saving and fixed term accounts?

Statements are issued quarterly or as requested. You will receive information of your term deposit accounts as they are near maturity.

Account balances are available through our Internet and Phone Banking services and statements are available through our Internet banking service.^

Duplicate statements can be requested at any time; however a fee does apply for duplicate statements.
